IGB 1 ANDERSON, ANDERSON, ANDERSON, LONDON: "Lion and Globe" mark on a smooth face oval head with "Niblick" This massive mark is rarely found full; this one is struck up at the perimeters. Quite scarce! G-6+ $220

IGB 2 ANDERSON, ANDERSON & ANDERSON, LONDON: A RARE "Lion and Globe" smooth face Lofting Iron with about 75% of the large mark fully struck. "Anderson Anstruther" small "Circular" mark is at the toe. Appears all original. G-6 $290.00

IGB 3 ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: A Diamond back "Mid-iron" circa 1920 with a dot punched face. A nice club. G-7 $65

IGB 4 ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: A Cleek circa 1890's with the tiny "A of A" circle mark. The shaft is interestingly stamped "R Whitty, 14 Tithe Barn St., Liverpool" below an original looking sheep skin grip. G-6 $250

IGB 5 ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: Circa 1890 rounded toe General Purpose Iron with Jamie Anderson's tiny "A of A" circle mark. Top of blade and hosel join are square indicating a circa 1890 forging. Original looking lance woodshaft with a tatterered but original looking sheep skin grip. G-6 + $275

IGB 6 ANDERSON, JOE, PERTH: Large "OK" monogram maker's mark on a nice circa 1920's "Rustless Mashie". G 7+ $65

IGB 7 ANDERSON, JOE, PERTH: "Joe Anderson, Perth" on a circa 1905-1910 smooth, deep face Cleek. All original with "Anderson, Perth" stamped on the shaft below the sheep skin grip. G-6 $85.

IGB 8 ANDERSON, LONDON: "Lion and Globe" mark on a smooth face Cleek. This massive mark is rarely found full; this one is struck up at the perimeters G-6 $190

IGB 9 ANDERSON OF ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: "W B McMeekin, Vale-of-Leven" on back of a circa 1915-20 "Iron" with the large "Circle" mark. "Arrow" maker's mark pointing towards toe. Replaced shaft. G-7 $70.00

IGB 10 ANDERSON OF ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: An outstanding "Rustless Mashie" with "Andersons Imperial" below a large "Crown" mark. The heel and toe are "beveled" to give the iron a mussel back appearance. Appears to be all original. A great looking iron for display. G-8+. $70

IGB 12 ANDERSON, R, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND.: A circa 1900 large head smooth face Lofter stamped "Anderson"s Edinb.". Replaced shaft marked "Spalding Gold Medal". G-6 $125

IGB 13 ANDREWS, A R, GRAVESEND: Circa 1910 mussel back "Approaching Cleek" with "A R Andrews, Gravesend" and Gibson's "Star" marks on the back. Andrews was at Gravesend only form 1910-1911. G-6+ $85

IGB 14 ARMY & NAVY STORES, LONDON: A circa 1895 smooth face Lofting iron with a compact face and a very thick hosel having saw tooth nicking. All back markings have been "emoried" away by caddies. The original looking shaft marked "Army & Navy C C S" below a replacement leather grip. Quite scarce. G-5 $90

IGB 15 ARMY & NAVY STORES, LONDON: A nice circa 1900 smooth face Lofting Iron with Anderson's tiny "Circle" mark as well as "A & N C S L, Hold Fast" on the back. Shaft stamped "Army & Navy C S L". G-7 $95

IGB 16 AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: An outstanding circa 1915-1920 all original "Deep Face Mashie" with a dot punched face. The Ayres "Maltese Cross" mark is at the toe. G-8 $70.00

IGB 17 AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: An outstanding "Deep Face Mashie" with the "Maltese Cross" mark at the toe. "Archie Compston" and "Staynorus" also on the back. Shaft is a replacement. G-7+ $70

IGB 18 AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: A scarce F.H. AYRES Mashie circa 1890-1895 with "F H Ayres" marked in bold large block letters. Original shaft is also marked "F H Ayres" below a replacement grip. An old repair to the shaft is covered with whipping. Still a nice collectible club. G-6 $120.00

IGB 19 AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: A circa 1890 Cleek marked "B C" and "F H Ayres". The head is delicately made and the "B C" may stand for Boy's Cleek. Original shaft with a replacement grip. $175.

IGB 20 AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: "Maltese Cross" mark and "F H Ayres, Lt'd" on the back of an all original circa 1900 smooth face Niblick. "F H Ayres" on the original shaft below the sheep skin grip. G-7+ $190

IGB 21 AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: "Malteese Cross" on back of a very unusual "The Cert" #2 Mid Iron. The sole extends BELOW the heel and toe. Appears all original. An unusual patent club. G-6 $290.00

IGB 22 BARBER, T, CAVENDISH, ENGLAND: A nice all original circa 1915-20 beveled heel and toe "Jigger" with a hyphen scored face. G-7 $65

IGB 23 BRADDELL, BELFAST, IRELAND: "Braddell, Belfast" surrounds their "Shamrock" mark on a circa 1895 small head Lofter that is between a sand iron and a rut iron. The hosel is nearly five inches long. G-7 $325

IGB 24 BRAND, CHARLES, CARNOUSTIE, SCOTLAND: "C Brand, Carnoustie" on both head and shaft of an all original circa 1910 Cleek with "Criss-cross" face scoring. Head & shaft are outstanding, the grip a bit rough. G-7 $90

IGB 25 BREWS, GEORGE, BLACKHEATH: A "George Brews, Blackheath" Cleek circa 1898-1900. The shaft becomes very thick at the grip. G-5 $140

IGB 26 BRUNSWICK, LONDON AND PARIS: A seldom offered "Hand Forged, Made In Scotland Mashie" with Brunswick's "Propeller" mark and "37" at the toe. Shaft and grip are originals. Face is line scored. G-7 $85.00

IGB 27 BUSSEY & CO, LONDON, ENGLAND: "Patented Steel Socket" (1890) and "Thistle" below "Bussey & Co., London" on a smooth face Mashie. The steel socket "Seam" is clearly visible on the hosel. "Mashie" stamped into the original shaft below the replacement period type sheep skin grip. Clubs just like this one were bringing £200. at the British auctions. G-6 $275.00

IGB 28 CAMPBELL, ALEX, BOSTON: A circa 1905-1910 smooth, deep face Iron stamped "Alex Campbell, Boston" above Stewart's "Pipe" mark. G-7 $65

IGB 29 CAMPBELL, ALEX, BOSTON: A nice oval head line scored "Niblick" stamped "Alex Campbell, Boston" above Stewart's "Pipe" mark. G-7+ $75

IGB 30 CANN & TAYLOR, LONDON, ENGLAND: Circa 1905-10 smooth face mashie with an unusual hosel nicking pattern. Probably made by "J H Taylor". Back of club "emoried" smooth. Replaced grip. $75

IGB 31 CAWSEY, H, SKEGNESS: A circa 1915-1920 bordered hyphen face "Niblick" with their "Cawseygrip 'Two Hands Shaking'" maker's mark. Appears all original and is a nice club. G-7 $90.00

IGB 32 CLAN GOLF CO, LONDON: A circa early 1890's Cleek with the large "Thistle" mark partially visible at the toe. The original looking shaft has a whipping covered repair just above the hosel. A very scarce club as the Clan Golf Co. was only in business from 1891-1895. G-4 $125

IGB 33 CLARK, W D: A circa 1900-1905 Lofting Iron with a smooth face. The head stamped "W D Clark". G-7+ $70

IGB 34 COCHRANE'S LT'D, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND: An outstanding "Lofter" with the "Knight" mark. All original and a great looking club. G-8+ $75

IGB 35 CONDIE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A nice Lofter with "Diamond-Dot" face scoring. "A Herd, Huddersfield" surrounds Condie's "Flower" mark. Original shaft with a period all weather grip. G-7 $75

IGB 36 CONDIE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A smooth face Condie Lofter with "R Leslie, Chicago" surrounding the "Flower" mark and "Made in Scotland" below. Georgiady lists Leslie at Washington Park, 1897. This head certainly appears to be from that time period. G-6 $95

IGB 37 CONDIE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: Condie's "Flower" mark on a circa 1898-1900 compact blade smooth face Cleek stamped "G Brews, Blackheath". Shaft and grip are period replacements. G-6 $145

IGB 38 D & W AUCHTERLONIE. ST. ANDREWS: A Cleek made by Tom Stewart pre-1905. Original shaft is stamped "Auchterlonie, St Andrews". G-5+ $85

IGB 39 DUNN BROTHERS, MITCHAM, ENGLAND: "Dunn Bros., Mitcham" surrounding a "Plume" mark on a Mashie Iron. The Dunn's were in Mitcham only from 1892 to 1994. See P-73 Georgiady's 1998 Value Guide. G-6 $290

IGB 40 DUNN, JOHN D, BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND: "British Make" and "John D Dunn, Special" on a circa 1895-1900 smooth deep face, odd shaped Lofting Iron with a rounded sole. Exported to "V L & D, N Y". Replaced shaft. G-5 $75

IGB 41 FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A nice "Scotia Mashie" circa 1920. Stamped shaft with replacement grip. G-7 $60

IGB 42 FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: "Meteor Rustless Mid-iron" at the toe below the "Flag-in-Hole" mark. G-7 $60

IGB 43 FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A circa 1930 "#15 Mid-iron" with "Forgan" on back and shaft. There is a large "Crown" mark at the toe. Grip is a replacement. Seldom offered late Forgan wood shaft iron. G-7 $70

IGB 44 FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A circa 1901-1908 smooth face "Mashie Iron" with the "Crown" mark. Original shaft is marked below a period replacement grip. G-6 $75.00

IGB 45 FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: An outstanging 1920's line scored "R Forgan Mashie Niblick". Stamped shaft. G-8 $75

IGB 46 FORRESTER, GEORGE, EARLSFERRY: Circa 1900 smooth face Iron with "G Forrester, Earlsferry, Elie" nearly emoried away on the head, but boldly marked on the original shaft. Grip is a replacement. G-5 $75.00

IGB 47 FORRESTER, GEORGE, EARLSFERRY, ELIE: A General Purpose Iron circa 1895-1900 stamped "Patent #53386". Replacement shaft marked "P Paxton". Very scarce! G-5 $225.

IGB 48 FORTH RUBBER CO, EDINBURGH: A circa 1900 smooth face Lofting Iron with "Forth Rubber Company, Edinburgh" nearly "emoried" away on the diamond shaped back. Very scarce and seldom offered. G-5 $65

IGB 49 GIBSON, CHARLES, WESTWARD HO!, ENGLAND: Gibson's "Rampant Stallion" mark on a circa 1925 line scored "#3 Iron". All original. G-7 $65

IGB 50 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: "Army & Navy C S L Holdfast, London" along with Gibson's "Star" mark on a smooth face circa 1910 Iron. Reshafted and has a brass hosel pin. G-5+ $65

IGB 51 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: "Geo Duncan, The Akros Model Mashie" with Gibson's stamp, "Superior" and "Star" mark. The hosel is odd set and the face lined. G-7 $65

IGB 52 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A very seldom offered "Powderhorn" mark Mashie. Slightly warped shaft. G-6 PHOTO $70

IGB 53 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: "Genii Model Mashie" with a dot punched face. A nice all original example. G-7 $75.00

IGB 54 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A flanged back "Mashie" with the "Star" mark and a "Maxwell" drilled hosel with ten wrap around holes. Shaft and grip appear original. G-5+. $75.00

IGB 55 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A circa 1900-1905 smooth face rounded sole iron that has the look and loft of a Jigger. Gibson's early "Star" mark is at the toe. Grip is a replacement. G-6 PHOTO $75.00

IGB 56 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: Circa 1920's "Mashie" with "John Little & Co., Singapore" on the back. All original. Clubs stamped "Singapore" are quite scarce. G-7 $75

IGB 57 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: "The Genii Model Mashie" circa 1915 with an off set hosel and dot punched face. G-7 $75

IGB 58 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A "Genii Model Niblick" circa 1910 smooth face with Gibson's "Star" mark. G-6 $75

IGB 59 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: An interesting off set hosel "Genni Model Mashie" with a dot face and notched blade-hosel join similar to the "Ping" irons of today. Appears all original and is a nice collectible club. G-7 $85

IGB 60 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: Circa 1915 "Mashie Niblick" with stampings. "Special"; the "Star" mark; "Wm Gibson, Kinghorn, Scotland; H Logan's; The Genii Model; Made in Scotland; Horton; Reg No. 22170; Hand Forged in Scotland". All original with a slightly warped shaft. G-6 $85

IGB 61 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: An outstanding circa 1920 line scored "Maxwell Driving Iron" with 12 wrap around holes drilled in the hosel to eliminate hosel weight in an effort to make the head feel heavier. All original and a nice conversation invoking club. G-8 $90

IGB 62 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: An "Akros Model Mashie-niblick" with "George Duncan, Hanger Hill" in an oval next to Gibson's "Star" mark. It has a dot punched face and off set hosel. G-7 $95

IGB 63 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A "Maxwell Niblick" with a flanged sole and 12 holes drilled in groups of three vertically into the hosel. Shaft is a replacement. This will make a very playable sand iron with the flanged sole as well as an unusual collectible. G-7 $125

IGB 64 GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: An unusual "Maxwell" hosel "Mashie" with a flanged back. There are 22 holes drilled in the hosel; two vertical rows of six and two of five. Most Maxwell hosels have ten wrap around holes. The holes were drilled to remove hosel weight. This made the head feel heavier thus giving more "Feel" to the shot. Shaft and grip appear original. $150.

IGB 65 GOURLAY, JAMES, CARNOUSTIE, SCOTLAND: A circa 1910 "Deep Face Mashie" in the Taylor style with the "Crescent and Star" mark and a dot punched face probably added by the owner to the original smooth face. Shaft appears to be an original with a wrapped leather replacement grip. G-6 $75.00

IGB 66 HENDRY & BISHOP, LT'D, EDINBURGH & LEITH: "Hendry & Bishop, Edinburgh" and "Bishop's Hat, Miter Brand" mark on a circa late 1920's "6" iron with dot punched face. G-7+ $60

IGB 67 HOOKER, E A: "E A Hooker, Crews Hill G C" on back of a line scored Mid-iron. Replacement shaft. G-5 $70.00

IGB 68 HUNTER, CHARLES, PRESTWICK: A seldom offered "C Hunter, Prestwick" stamped Iron with line scoring most likely added at a later date to the original smooth face. Replacement period type grip over the original shaft. G-7 $95

IGB 69 JOHNSON, FRANK: A outstanding circa 1905 medium size smooth face "Niblick" with only Johnson's "Key" maker's mark. A nice collectible Niblick. G-8 $190

IGB 70 MILLAR, CHARLES, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND: An early smooth face Lofting Iron circa 1895 with a compact rounded back head marked "C L Millar, Glasgow". Appears to be one of Millar's earliest forgings. Shaft appears original, the wrapped leather grip is a replacement. G-6+ $90

IGB 71 MORRIS, TOM, ST. ANDREWS: A circa 1888-1894 General Purpose Iron with "J Thomson, Felixstowe" surrounding a wide "H" (looks like a bar bell) which is Morris' early iron cleek mark. Original looking shaft with a replacement period type grip. Hosel pin has been removed and replaced in order to tighten a loose head. Overall a nice early Morris iron. G-6 $390

IGB 72 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: "Duplicate of Mac Smith's Mashie 6" iron with the circa 1925 "Hand" mark. All original. G-8 60.00

IGB 73 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A "Zenith Mashie" with the "Glove" type "Hand" mark. Hosel is off set like an anti-shank. Shaft is a replacement. G-6 $60

IGB 74 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: An outstanding "Spade Mashie" with dot punched face. All original. G-8 $65

IGB 75 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A large head line scored "Zenith Niblick" with an off set hosel. All original. G-7 $65

IGB 76 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: An all original circa 1915-1920 dot punched face Driving Iron marked "George Nicoll" in script and "1 Iron" deeply stamped beside the "Hand" mark near the toe. G-7 $65.

IGB 86 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A circa 1930 dot punched face "2 Iron" stamped "Al Espinosa" in script. Shaft is a Butchart Patented six piece Bamboo. An interesting iron! G-7+ $75.

IGB 88 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: An early compact head, smooth face Cleek with Nicoll's first "Hand" mark circa 1898-1900. Only "Warranted, Hand Forged" and the "Hand" are on the back. Original shaft with replacement grip. An average G-5 club, but very seldom offered. $75

IGB 89 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A large faced "9 Recorder Niblick" with a dot face. Playable. G-7 $75

IGB 90 NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A circa 1895-1898 Cleek made prior to the "Hand" mark. "Nicoll, Leven" is stamped below "The F G Tait Cleek". Shaft looks original. G-6 $165

IGB 91 NORTON, THOMAS, LLANDRINDOD WELLS: An outstanding all original circa 1900 smooth face Lofter with "Tom Norton, Llandrindod Wells, Sole Maker" around "Ariel". First club I've seen with these markings. G-8 $125

IGB 92 OKE, W G, LONDON, ENGLAND: "W G Oke, Fulwell, G C" and the "Oak Brand Registered" mark on an outstanding circa 1920-25 "Deep Face Mashie". Replacement grip on the original shaft. G-7 $75.00

IGB 93 PARK, WILLIE, MUSSELBURGH, SCOTLAND: A "Wm Park" ladies Lofting Iron with lined face scoring. The stamped original shaft is warped. The "Wm Park, Musselburgh" mark in nearly full on the rusted head. Would be a good club with a straightened shaft and cleaned up head. G-3 $75

IGB 94 PARK, WILLIE, MUSSELBURGH, SCOTLAND: A circa 1890 rounded toe General Purpose Iron with a weak "Wm Park, Musselburgh" straight line mark. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-4 $85

IGB 95 PARK, WILLIE, MUSSELBURGH, SCOTLAND: A circa 1895 smooth face Iron with a nearly full "Wm. Park, Musselburgh" stamp. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-5+ $145

IGB 96 PARK, WILLIE, MUSSELBURGH, SCOTLAND: A circa 1895-1900 "W Park's Patent Driving Cleek". The stamping is in tiny letters and several have been "emoried" away. Replacement shaft is stamped "F B Drake, Harrow G C". A scarce club. G-4 $190

This long faced iron has a squared off top of blade and hosel join indicating a pre-1895 forging. The period replaced shaft is stamped "R Forgan & Sons, St Andrews" below a replacement period type grip. A handsome club. G-7 $375

IGB 153 UNKNOWN MAKER: A circa 1870-1880 slightly dished face, hooked face Lofting Iron in the John Gray style. The early replacement shaft is stamped "E M C McDoland" below a period type replacement grip. A nice early iron. G-6 $390

IGB 154 UNKNOWN MAKER: A slightly HOOKED face, circa 1860-1875 General Purpose Iron with the top of blade and hosel join "Squared" indicating an early hand forging. This iron is in the style of John Gray. There is almost no hosel "nicking" remaining. Irons made pre-1875 had very long nicking that was crimped into the shaft. During reshafting, the "nicking" was cut off to make the removal of the shaft easier. G-6 $475.00

IGB 155 UNKNOWN MAKER: A circa 1875-1885 smooth, slightly hooked face General Purpose Iron with a nearly five inch long hosel and a squared off top of blade and hosel join. The replacement grip is stamped "Aitken" below an old leather grip. This looks like an early Park forging. G-6 $490

IGB 156 UNKNOWN MAKER: A RARE circa 1870-1880 long blade Cleek. The hosel is 4 1/2 inches long and has a "Squared Off" top of blade and hosel join indicative of pre-1890 forging. No maker's marks are visible on the back. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-5 $650.00

IGB 157 UNKNOWN MAKER: Circa 1840-60 Cleek with a 5 inch long thick saw tooth nicked hosel. The shaft is ASH and the grip is a period type sheep skin. G-6 $1450

IGB 162 WHITE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A circa 1880-1890 smooth face Cleek made by Robert White, the "R" and "W" of his stamping the only letters visible. The top of blade and hosel join are squared off indicative of early hand forgings. Old shaft and circa 1900 sheep skin grip are replacements. $190.

IGB 163 WHITE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A circa 1880-85 Cleek with "R White Maker" in large block letters on the back. The hosel has forging seam cracks from the "pin" to the shaft and at the base of the hosel near the head. The shaft and grip are period type replacements. Very scarce early maker. G-5 $390.00

IGB 164 WILSON, ROBERT, ST. ANDREWS: "R Wilson, Maker, St. Andrews" is nearly full on the back of a circa 1880 General Iron. The loft is similar to a 4 or 5 iron and the smooth face blade is quite long. Replacement shaft. G-6 $675
