150.....2.....WALTER HAGEN, A L YOUNG, DETROIT: A nice circa 1925-30 "Hagen Arrow" blade putter with "H" for a sweet spot on the line scored face. G-7 $60.

150.....3.....BRAZER & CO, LOWELL, MA: A circa 1900 straight blade brass putter with "Brazer & Co., Lowell" in block lettering. Very scarce early American maker. Not listed in Georgiady; however, I've had 3 or 4 examples of their forgings over the past 10 years. G-6+ $125.

150.....4.....UNKNOWN MAKER: TURN OF THE CENTURY BRASS BLADE. A nice two way Brass blade, C-1900 without stamps on either side. Looks Spalding or BGI. G-7 $85.

150.....5.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A SMALL HEAD BRASS PUTTER C-1885-1895. No stampings on head or shaft. Nice putter. G-7 $175.

150.....6.....ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: An outstanding General Purpose Iron exhibiting very little play. On the back there is a faint small Anderson circle stamp characteristic of Jamie Anderson c-1885-90. Nice, old sheep skin grip over a good, straight hickory shaft. G-8 $375.

150.....7.....ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: A circa 1870's General Purpose Iron with long dished face and nearly five inch saw tooth nicked hosel. Jamie Anderson's small circle cleek mark is near the hosel. Shaft and grip are period replacements and appear as original. An above average example of a late feather ball era iron. G-7+ $875.

150.....8.....CONDIE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: "R Neilson, Musselburgh" surrounding Condie's "Flower" mark on a circa 1900-1905 compact smooth deep face Lofting Iron. Shaft looks original, grip is a replacement. G-5+ $70.

150.....9.....FORBES, A, TROON: A hyphen face, circa 1920's off set hosel Niblick with "A Forbes, Troon" in an oval. Clubs with names of British Open courses are very popular. G-7 $75.

150.....10.....FOREST, GEORGE, NORTH BERWICK: A nice C-1920 Mashie from one of Scotland's most famous courses. Shaft and grip are nice replacements. G-7 $60.

150.....11.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: Robert Forgan "PLUME" stamped Rut Niblick C-1895-1900. All head stamps are good. Shaft has whipping over an old repair and the grip is a wrapped leather replacement. One similar just brought $538. at Auction in England. G-6++ $450.

150.....12.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A nice all original "Deep Face Mashie" with a line scored face. G-7 $75.

150.....16.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A lined face "Zenith #1 Iron" with Nicoll's late "hand" mark. Nicoll used as many as 13 different "Hand" cleek marks. This and the other 3 Nicoll clubs would make a nice start towards a collection of his different "Hand" cleek marks. G-7 $60.

150.....17.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: An early compact head, smooth face Cleek with Nicoll's first "Hand" mark circa 1898-1900. Only "Warranted, Hand Forged" and the "Hand" are on the back. Original shaft with replacement grip. An average G-5 club, but very seldom offered "Hand" cleek mark. $75.

150.....18.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A good "Deep Face Mashie" stamped 'D. Adams, Glasgow", G-6 $75.

150.....19.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: Scarce "George Nicoll" lined face "1 Iron" with the "gloved" Hand cleek mark. Nicoll used as many as 13 different "Hand" cleek marks. This mark and his earliest are the most desirable. Outstanding club with slightly warped shaft. G-7++ $90.

150.....20.....PARKER, WM, CARNOUSTIE, SCOTLAND: C-1912-15 "Defiance Brand Iron" and a "Rampant Lion" stamp at the toe. Original shaft with replacement wrapped leather grip. G-7 $75.

150.....21.....RODWELL, CHARLES: C-1915 flanged back Mashie with off set hosel. G-4 $45.

150.....22.....SCOTT, A H, EARLSFERRY, ELIE, SCOTLAND: A circa 1920 line scored off set Lofting Iron stamped "Excelsior" and "A Davey, Margate" and Scott's small "Lion" mark. Replacement grip over the original looking shaft. G-6 $65.

150.....23.....SPALDING, LONDON: A scarce circa 1920 line scored "D Niblick" stamped "A G Spalding & Bros, Model, London". Original shaft with a period replacement grip. G-6 $75.

150.....24.....ST ANDREW GOLF CO, DUNFIRMLINE & GLASGOW: "Running Stag" mark on a #4 Mid-iron with hyphen scored face. G-7 $65.

150.....25.....STEWART, TOM, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: Very scarce "SERPENT" stamped smooth face Iron C-1895-1900. All original with nice sheep skin grip. G-8 $145.

150.....26.....TULLOCH, J, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND: Circa 1900 smooth face Iron stamped "J Tulloch, Glasgow". Shaft and grip are period replacements. Very seldom offered maker. G-6 $65.

150.....27.....UNKNOWN MAKER: Circa 1905-1910 smooth face straight faced (driving iron) with the "British Flag" mark at toe. Markings on back nearly "emoried" away by caddies. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-5+ $65.

150.....28.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A dot face "True Line 8 Rustless Niblick". Has about 55 degrees loft and is playable. G-7+ $65.

150.....29.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A NO NAME LOFTING IRON. A wide toe smooth face Lofting Iron C-1895 with all stamps "emoried" away by over zealous caddies. Nice face shape. G-7 $100.

150.....30.....UNKNOWN MAKER: Pre-1895 CONCAVE face Rut Iron with squared top of blade and hosel join indicating a blacksmith type forging. Head has been chromed. Super nice sheep skin grip. Suitable for Oakhurst play with some adaptation. G-6+ $350.

150.....31.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A Significant, outstanding, large head, dished face Mid-19th Century General Purpose Iron with squared top of blade and hosel join. Made in the John Gray (Prestwick) style with the barely visible hosel pin high near the nicking evidencing a pre-1870's forging. Old sheep skin grip over old listings on a nice hickory shaft. A great addition to even an advanced collection. G-8 $1250.

150.....32.....VICKERS, SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND: Circa 1915-20 hyphen face "Mashie No. 23" with the "Double K" maker's mark at the toe. This iron has a very wide sole and a flanged back. Shaft is a replacement. G-5+ $65.

150.....33.....BRIDGEPORT GUN & IMPLEMENT CO, CT: Very scarce circa 1898-1900 Rut Niblick with original grip (tattered) and stamped shaft which has a crack at the hosel. "Arrow, BGI, Arrow" stamp on back of the head is weak, from uneven stamping, however readable. The head is suitable for Oakhurst Play. G-7 $575.

150.....34.....BURKE MFG CO, NEWARK, OH: An outstanding "Burke Grand Prize Driving Iron". G-8 $70.

150.....35.....J H WILLIAMS, BROOKLYN: "Metropolitan" in large block letters on a C-1896-1900 smooth face Lofting Iron. The "W" inside a "Diamond" cleek mark is on the hosel. The original ASH shaft is stamped "J W B" below a period leather grip. Very scarce! G-7 $145.

150.....36.....KIRK, WM, "Wm Kirk, Special" on a circa 1900-05 smooth face Lofting Iron that has the appearance of a Willie Dunn, New York made head. Shaft is a nice replacement. G-7 $75.

150.....37.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: An outstanding all original Mussel back "Mid-iron" also stamped "Popular B B". The facwe has widely spaced dots. The shaft is a stamped original. G-7 $75.

150.....38.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: A SUPERB C-1915 "Popular 'C' Niblick" with a dot punched face. All original with stamped shaft. A great display and collectible by Macgregor. G-9 $100.

150.....39.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: Oversized head "Edgemont Mashie-niblick" with diamond face scoring. Original grip and stamped shaft. Quite an unusual iron. First one I've seen! G-8 $175.

150.....40.....SPALDING, USA: "G S Sparling" on back of a smooth face Driving Iron with concentric back weighting . The original shaft is marked "G F Sparling, Hand Made". Made by A G Spalding Bros. G-7 $75.

150.....41.....SPALDING, USA: Circa 1902-1905 shallow smooth face "Model C" Jigger with the "Baseball" trademark. Shaft is stamped below the original grip that is a bit rough. G-6. $75.

150.....42.....SPALDING, USA: Nice JUVENILE or Child's Lofter circa 1912-15 with "Spalding" in large block letters above their "Flower" mark on the back. "Hammer" stamp is at the toe. G-8 $75.

150.....43.....SPALDING, USA: Scarce BALL FACE left handed Niblick circa 1907-1910 with Spalding's markings and "Low & Hughes, New York" on the back. Grip is original, however tattered at top. Shaft is a stamped original. Outstanding G-8. $175.

150.....44.....SPALDING, USA: Scarce "H Vardon" Spalding smooth face Lofter circa-1900. This series of clubs was made for commemorating Vardon's Spalding promoted US tour, 1900. Left handed and appears all original except for the whipping on grip. G-8 $175.

150.....45.....UNKNOWN MAKER: An "Arrow" through the word "Snap" on a circa 1920 Mussel back Mid-iron with hyphen scored face. Nice club, unusual mark. G-8 $75.

150.....46.....US GOLF MFG. CO, WESTFIELD, MASS: "Ajax Brand Mid-iron" with One Piece sewn leather grip and braided whipping at top and bottom of grip. The shaft is golden ASH. G-8 $95.

150.....47.....US GOLF MFG. CO, WESTFIELD, MASS: "Gold Standard Mid-iron" with One Piece sewn leather grip and braided whipping at top and bottom of grip. The shaft is RARE as it is made of six pieces of alternating BAMBOO and HICKORY. There is also braided whipping just above the hosel. G-7 $190.

150.....48.....ANDERSON OF ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: Circa 1905 "Fairlie's Patent Niblick" with Anderson's "Arrow" mark at the toe. All original with sheep skin grip. Small, even dot punches were nicely added to the original smooth face. G-7+ $245.

150.....49.....STEWART, TOM, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A circa 1900 Fairlie's Patent Anti-shank smooth face Niblick with Tom Stewart's "Pipe" mark, without his Trademark beneath, dating this example pre-1905. Period replacement shaft has a "Stymie Notch" cut below a super nice sheep skin grip. G-7 $235.

150.....51.....GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: Very scarce left handed "Jerko" corrugated Deep Groove Mashie-niblick. Outstanding all original example. G-8 $235.

150.....56.....UNKNOWN MAKER: Circa 1910-20 spliced neck Cleek with full brass sole plate and small, well lofted Persimmon head with "Lee Nelson Special" stamped in a double oval. Nice club that may be playable. G-8 $250.

150.....57.....WRIGHT & DITSON, BOSTON, MA: WRIGHT & DITSON SEMI-LONG NOSE. A Circa 1893-1896 Semi-Long Nose pear shaped Play Club stamped "Wright & Ditson" in small script on the head and in microscopic block letters on the shaft. Original grip is tattered. A SIGNIFICANT early American collectible, especially in all original condition except for replaced splice whippings. G-7+ $495.

150.....58.....HARRY COLLIS, HOMEWOOD, ILL: A SUPERB Brassie with unusual face insert and brass "slip" to protect the sole. "Pat'd. Dec. 7, 1909" indicates the Rigden brass back weight patent and made by Spalding for "Harry Collis, Homewood", (stamped on the head.) It would be difficult to find another example nicer than this one! G-9 $275.

150.....59.....THE GAMAGE, LONDON: "The Gamage" on a circa-1910-15 Brassie. The face has a small face insert with a ram's horn slip between the face and brass sole plate. All original with a stamped shaft. Nice wood! G-8 $135.

150.....60.....UNKNOWN MAKER: "George Meeker" on a two tone head with "Spoon" stamped on the sole. Interesting face insert that may be home made. G-7 $100.

150.....61.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A possibly playable pretty face Bull Dog trouble wood with well lofted face, full brass sole and "A" shaped face insert. G-7 $120.

150.....70.....HILLERICH & BRADSBY, LOUISVILLE, KY: Kork Grip Brassie Patented Sept. 15, 1914. Hosel has a repaired crack. G-5 $80.

150.....71.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: Circa 1910 Persimmon head Spoon stamped. "J Macgregor, Dayton, O". It has a full brass sole plate and oval lead back weight. Original stamped shaft. G-8 $125.

150.....72.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: Circa 1905 "J Macgregor" socket driver with black slip held by three wood pegs. Original number "135" stamped shaft that extends through the hosel (Simpson's bore through hosel patent). Outstanding example. G-8 $145.

150.....73.....SLAZENGER, NEW YORK: A circa 1910 Driver stamped "Slazenger, New York". Persimmon head. G-7+ $100.

150.....74.....SPALDING, USA: Rigden Patent brass back weight Driver stamped "Chas. Klees, Chicago. Patent date stamped on the sole. All original. G-7+ $120.

150.....75.....SPALDING, USA: Left handed Driver circa 1920 with "Spalding" in block lettering below a large "Thistle" stamp on the Persimmon head. Superb example, G-9. $135.

150.....76.....STRATH, GEORGE, BROOKLYN, NY: "G Strath" in block letters on a C-1910-15 socket head Driver. The black slip is held by three wood pegs and the sole exhibits thru sole shafting. G-8 $125.

150.....77.....WILSON, THOMAS E, CHICAGO, IL: "Ted Ray Seventy-two Brassie" on this bore through hosel shafted Persimmon head Wilson product. All original and a nice "Signature" wood. Ray won the 1912 British Open, the 1920 US Open and tied with Francis Ouimet & Harry Vardon for the 1913 US Open title only to lose to Ouimet in a playoff. G-7+ $115.
