"The Orion, James Braid" and "Cumming, Toronto" are stamped on the wide flange. The hosel and the grip are flat as is the exotic Dangawood shaft. The face has dots in a "Pyramid" configuration. Head has been cleaned and the hosel has a crack at the pin. G-5 $135.

138...8...GIBSON, WILLIAM, KINGHORN, SCOTLAND: A smooth, shallow face, rounded back Gem Putter with wide flat sole. The "Star" mark and "J. Hastie, Cairo" (Egypt) on the back. Circa 1905-10 with original shaft and sheep skin grip. Clubs from Egypt are very scarce. A nice example. G-7+ $145

"J H Taylor, Reg. # 607239" is stamped above and below the unusual raised "sight" line on the head. The shaft is a replacement and the hosel is sound. Head and stampings are good and the grip is a nice sheep skin. G-7 $225

138...36...ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: A circa 1900 smooth face Iron with one of the best "Anderson, Anstruther" small circle stamps I've seen. Army & Navy's "A & N C S, Hold Fast" stamp is also at the toe. Shaft is a replacement and the grip is a period type replacement. Head is G-9. Overall G-7 $125

138...37...ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND: An early James Anderson General Purpose Iron circa 1870, the large head having a hooked face and thick hosel. The top of blade and hosel join are squared off indicative of early hand forgings. The hosel had long jagged saw tooth nicking which was trimmed when the shaft, bearing Forgan's stamp, was replaced. Anderson's tiny mark is faintly identifyable on the back. A nice example of Jamie's early forgings. G-6 $650

138...38...AYRES, F H, LONDON, ENGLAND: A rounded sole Bobbie Iron style club with Ayres' "Maltese Cross" mark and "F Cheshire, Delta" on the back. Shaft is a replacement $65

138...39...BRODIE, ROBERT, ANSTRUTHER, SCOTLAND "C H Corlett, Broadstone" and Brodie's "B & S A" Triangle mark on a #3 Iron. Grip replaced on the original shaft. Brodie made many clubs sold through Tom Morris' shop. G-6 $70

138...101...UNKNOWN MAKER: A head dish faced BUNKER Iron with a 4 1/2 inch long, very heavy, thick (65 mm at pin), saw tooth nicked hosel. The top of blade and hosel join is squared indicating a pre-1890's forging. Touted as being forged during the early half of the 19th Century, I feel it is in the 1840-50 period. The repaired replacement ASH shaft has about eight inches of whipping. Bunker irons from the late feather ball period traditionally bring between $3000-5000. G-5 $2000
