LOT.....4.....A SCHENECTADY type most likely made by Mills with the bottom stamped "Model, Medium Lie, 9 oz, 13 dr." Circa 1909 or earlier as the R & A outlawed these for use in Great Britain as of the 1910 season. The grip is an old red allweather over thick listing and the hosel has several cracks. LOT.....10.....AN ORION PUTTER BY WM. GIBSON with his"Star" mark and "Registered No. 348291" on the sole. "The Orion, James Braid" and "Cumming, Toronto" are stamped on the wide flange. The hosel and the grip are flat as is the exotic Dangawood shaft. The face has dots in a "Pyramid" configuration. Head has been cleaned and the hosel has a crack at the pin. G-5 NO RESERVE $90-150

LOT.....13.....A CIRCA 1890 BRASS BLADE with "Special, London" on the back. Maker's name has been worn off. Original shaft with replacement grip. Nice putter. G-6 NO RESERVE $90-175

LOT.....14.....PATENTED SPALDING PUTTER. "F-10, Pat'd 1-3-22" on the sole. This rounded toe blade has only four deep scoring lines on the bottom of the face with the top of the face being smooth. Appears all original with a wine colored grip. A "MUST" addition to any Spalding collection. G-7 NO RESERVE $45-80

LOT.....15.....AN EARLY MACGREGOR. A circa 1900 "J Macgregor, Dayton, O" smooth face blade. Stamped shaft with the number "10" just below what is left of the original grip...mostly listing. Scarce. G-6+ NO RESERVE $60-100

LOT.....18.....A SCARCE R B WILSON. A thick hosel, smooth face blade with "R B Wilson, OK Special" and "Made In Scotland" on the back. The stamped shaft was cut down about two inches. Head is G-7. NO RESERVE $80-140

LOT.....19.....A RARE WILLIE WILSON PUTTER. A brass blade Putter circa 1880-1890 with a nearly full "W Wilson, Maker, St. Andrews" mark. This mark is in tiny letters and is rarely found fully readable. Period shaft with an old sheep skin grip. G-6 RESERVE $160. $225-400

LOT.....22.....McEWAN SHORT SPOON C-1880. The long face has is well lofted and hooked. A full brass sole plate has been added that shows very little evidence of play. Old whipping may be original. Grip is an old sheep skin. Owner's enitial "D" on the dark stained beech head. Came with the Morris. Nice club! RESERVE 1500. $1500-2500

LOT.....23.....A VIRTUALLY MINT TOM MORRIS MID SPOON C-1880. Exhibits virtually no play. The dark stained beech head, with "T Morris" bold and clear, is slightly lofted and hooked. Owner's enitial "D" above the Morris stamp. Full brass sole plate added and shows virtually no evidence of play. Came with the McEwan. A nice example! RESERVE $1900. $1900-3200.

LOT.....24.....A MC EWAN TRANSITIONAL BRASSIE circa 1895 with a full brass sole plate. "Mc Ewan" accross the honey colored head. Shaft is stamped "D Mc Ewan & Sons, Musselburgh". Old sheep skin grip is a bit tattered. G-6 NO RESERVE $375-700

LOT.....25.....A SUPERB PARK BRASSIE stamped "Wm Park's, Patent, Compressed Head" with a small leather face insert as made and a full brass sole plate. An apprentice must have stamped this shaft since he used the same stamp (oval) for the shaft as he did for the head. The grip is virtually MINT and perfect! This club looks MINT NEW! G-9+ NO RESERVE $700-1200

LOT.....26.....A WM PARK TRUE RUT IRON c-1885-90 with the top of blade and hosel join squared. The tiny head has no visible stampings, however, the shaft is clearly stamped "Wm Park" below a nice sheep skin grip. G-6+ RESERVE $850. $1000-1600.

LOT.....27.....AN OUTSTANDING SMALL HEAD RUT IRON C-1890 with "F H Ayres" on head and shaft with original sheep skin grip. Top of blade and hosel join are square indicating a pre-1895 forging. One of the nicer RUT irons I've handled. Virtually no play marks on the sole! As close to MINT as I've seen with a RUT. G-8+++ RESERVE $900. $1000-1600

LOT.....28.....A THICK HOSEL RUT IRON C-1890. The small head has a very thick hosel with some heavy rust near the top and where the pin would be. Shaft has been shortened and has a sheep skin grip over old listing. G-6 RESERVE $450. $500-1000

LOT.....29.....A DISH FACED BUNKER IRON with a 4 1/2 inch long, very heavy, thick (65 mm at pin), saw tooth nicked hosel. The top of blade and hosel join is squared indicating a pre-1890's forging. Touted as being forged during the early half of the 19th Century. The repaired ASH shaft has about eight inches of whipping. Bunker irons from the late feather ball period traditionally bring between $3000-5000. G-5 RESERVE $950. $1300-2500

LOT.....30.....A LARD PATENT "WHISTLER" MASHIE with perforated hexagonal steel shaft. "Spalding Gold Medal" and Patent dates "Jan 12, 1914" and "Aug. 29, 1916" bold and clear on the back. Grip look original. Several rust spots and a couple of dings at the toe keep this from an outstanding example. G-7 RESERVE $2400. $2400-4000

LOT.....31.....A RARE JOHN GRAY GENERAL IRON with a long, hooked, dished face and five inch hosel with saw tooth nicking. A patch of rust nearly obliterates the "Y" in "Jn Gray". A dramatic circa 1870's club with original looking shaft and sheep skin grip. G-6 NO RESERVE $950-1500

LOT.....32.....A SMALL HEAD BRASS LOFTER circa 1880 with the "squared" top of blade and hosel join indicatave of a pre-1895 forging. Brass head irons prior to 1900 are quite scarce, if not RARE. The shaft hole in the hosel is very thin on one side and thick on the other requiring a hand made shaft, thus the existing shaft/hosel are not perfect. No name on the head, however most likely made by Willie Wilson. NO RESERVE $350-600

LOT.....33.....A GOOD TRUE RUT IRON c-1880-1885 with the top of blade and hosel join sharply squared. No stampings visible on the back, indicating this may be a Blacksmith made head. The hosel PIN is placed 45 degrees between the normal position and the top of the hosel, which has saw tooth nicking. Grip is a nice old sheep skin. G-7 NO RESERVE $1000-1600.

LOT.....34.....A SMOOTH FACE NIBLICK C-1905 with "The British Golf Company, Ldt" inside a double circle mark surrounding a rampant lion. One of the best TBGCO's marks I've seen! Line face scoring was added at a later time. Original shaft with sheep skin grip. A nice looking club! G-8 NO RESERVE $120-200

LOT.....35.....A BLACKSMITH MADE GENERAL IRON circa 1840-1860. Forging seams are evident near the heel and the hosel has deep jagged crimped down nicking. Shaft and grip are pre-1900 replacements. A significant early left handed iron. A great addition to any collection. G-6+ NO RESERVE $950-1500

LOT.....36.....AN EMORIED SWEET SPOT CLEEK. "Anderson of Anstruther" with the tiny circle mark on a circa 1900 Cleek with an "Emoried" sweet spot. Original looking shaft with a replacement grip. G-6 NO RESERVE $80-160.

LOT.....37.....AN EARLY GRAY STYLE GENERAL IORN. A circa 1870-1880 slightly dished face, hooked face General Purpose Iron in the John Gray style. The early replacement shaft is stamped "E M C McDonald" below a period type replacement grip. A nice early iron. G-6 NO RESERVE $300-450

LOT.....38.....A GOOD JAMIE ANDERSON GENERAL IRON. An early James Anderson General Purpose Iron circa 1870, the large head having a hooked face and thick hosel. The top of blade and hosel join are squared off indicative of early hand forgings. The hosel had long jagged saw tooth nicking which was trimmed when the shaft, bearing Forgan's stamp, was replaced. Anderson's tiny mark is faintly identifyable on the back. A nice example of Jamie's early forgings. G-6 NO RESERVE $375-600

LOT.....39.....A GOOD GENERAL IRON circa 1875-1885 with a smooth, slightly hooked face and nearly five inch long hosel which has a squared off top of blade and hosel join. The replacement grip is stamped "Aitken" below an old leather grip. This looks like an early Park forging. G-6 NO RESERVE $250-400

LOT.....40.....A PARK LONG FACE LOFTER with a rounded toe and short hosel. Looks like Park's Patented Lofter, however the back stamps have been emoried away. The original shaft is stamped below an old sheep skin grip. G-6 NO RESERVE $150-275

LOT.....43.....AN OUTSTANDING WINTON NIBLICK. Winton's "Diamond" mark on a C-1910 bordered hyphen face Niblick stamped "Ted Ray's Own Niblick" and having a "Diamond Back" weighting design.
